She fell right apart
a puzzle on the ground
it happened in silence
no drama, no sound.
One moment a whole person
then in a mute crush
she broke into pieces
like leaf underbrush
The tried, oh they tried
to match one piece with two
but nothing fit together
not even with glue
They bandaged, and she bled
they taped, and she collapsed
for years they worked
as the decades, they lapsed
They did all they could
tried everything to mend her
then someone finally sighed
just "return her to sender".
